Internet marketing at its best.

The University is in full swing this season, our students and members have broken all records for production anticipated. I am encouraged by the success of our internet marketing system. Check this out:

Do you need a website?

A lot of marketers will tell you, “No” you don’t need a website in order to be successful online. And they’re right to an extent, because there are a variety of ways to make monëy without a website. HOWEVER, most of those guys are probably trying to sell you some program, and they just don’t want you to be inhibited from buying it…

In my opinion, you will be at a severe disadvantage if you don’t have your own website. You can only go so far without it, and if you try to go without it, there will eventually come a time when you want one. A lot of newbies make the mistake of saying, “I’ll get one later when I really need it.”

The best time to start your website is NOW. For one thing, it takes time for websites to develop natural traffic, and the sooner you get started, the sooner you will start getting search engine traffic. For another thing, you can use your website in correlation with almost any avenue of online income that you decide to pursue.

It’s OK if you don’t have any content for your website, I’ll show you where to get content later. All you need is a simple one page to start with. Here is one that doesn’t require any skills with html, scroll the main page of the University for the link:

Do I need to learn HTML?

Again, here’s where the vast majority of “gurus” will say, “No” you don’t need any skills…you can use visual editing software, or hire someone to build your site. And again, here’s an area where I disagree with “most” gurus…

You can be successful without learning HTML (the language that is used to create websites), but you will be at a serious disadvantage if you don’t learn it. I’ve seen a lot of intelligent and skilled marketers who refuse to take the time to learn HTML, and as a result it becomes a stumbling block for them. They are totally dependent on their webmaster anytime they want to make a change or launch something new.

On the flip side, if you know HTML you will have total independence to build your business at your own pace. For example, if I come across a hot new idea, I can build and launch a simple website in less than an hour.

Please don’t get overwhelmed by this. It’s a lot easier than you think to learn HTML, and you can take your time. Most people can have a good grasp on it and create a simple website with only a few hours of study.

Mike has a frëë HTML tutorial which you can download today at:

What about web hosting?

You need a web host for your website. That’s how people will be able to see your website on the world wide web.

WARNING: Do not go and use the first host you find, or the cheapest. It is VERY important to choose a good host, or it will cause you problems and frustration later on.

As a former web host, I know what to look for in a hosting company, and I know the warning signs of the hosts to stay away from (I also wrote a course about how to sell hosting, which you can download for frëë here).
Hopefully this hasn’t been an overload of information for you… just remember to take it all slowly. There’s no need to stress yourself out and try to do everything at once. I’m cramming 9 years of experience into a few short lessons, so take it step by step and don’t hesitate to ask me if you have questions about anything we’ve covered.

Have a great day!

Positioning on Google

Ebizwizard’s University of Internet Marketing teaches many different venues to advertise on the internet. As an example I have gained a #2 position on Google by following simple methods which I go into more detail about in the school forum.
The positioning on any search engine can drive badly needed traffic to any website. Relevant search terms and words are essential to gaining positioning on the search engines. The proper use of keywords and tags is of the utmost importance to successfully climbing up in the search engine rankings. I have a tool on my website that will pull relevant terms and keywords from your website and list them for you. If you are interested in learning more go to the website and sign up for my free informative newsletter.
There is never any cost for the newsletter, although donations to the school are gratefully accepted. Even though there is a one time upgrade fee at the school for those wishing to receive more extensive training, this fee is simply there to offset administrative costs as well as the cost of maintaining the level of service and quality information for the student body.
Donations can be made via PayPal to: ebizwizard2004@yahoo.com

Marketing like the pros doesn’t have to cost a fortune

I have been an internet marketer for several years now. There was a time when I thought I could just do whatever I wanted and eventually I could become a successful marketing entrepreneur. Everyone was preaching the same things ie: build a list, build a website, promote here promote there, and to a degree these statements and suggestions are true. Does anyone really tell you how to really get good at list building and promotion?

There are actually many venues on the internet where you can get good responses to your online venture. Safelists come to mind as a good example of marketing your products and services . Google’s Gmail is an excellent e-mail account to help with safelist advertising, no e-mails are blocked or bounced due to full e-mail accounts. You can read other marketers ads and recieve credits to promote your own offers to the list. The most important things to consider when marketing in these forums are your subject line and your ad copy. A good subject line will entice others to click on your ad and good copy will keep them reading and will peak their interest to click on your offer link. The use of certain trigger words can also help to improve your conversion rates. Keep the content relevant to your website or offer, this keeps your visitors from feeling like they were tricked into visiting your site or offer.

Give something of value to your prospective customers, offer them an e-book or download that you were impressed with, obviously if you were not impressed don’t try to give something worthless and expect value in return. Give these items in return for a subscription to your newsletter or publication. this is a very simple technique for begining to build your list of customers. Information that is of value is at an all time high as far as the premium being paid by most marketers on the internet today.

Take the time to answer all queries in a reasonable amount of time, the quicker you respond to your clients the better they will feel about dealing with you. make time to help them to duplicate your techniques, an active downline is a happy downline.
